Arthur Brisco

After a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Arthur Brisco passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018 in his home.

Arthur was born on August 11, 1955 in Minter City, Mississippi to the late Jack Harris and the late Florence Brisco.

At an early age, Arthur confessed a hope in Christ.  He was a faithful member of the Jubilee Baptist Church in Bolingbrook, Illinois.  At Jubilee, Arthur was an active participant in the Usher’s Ministry, Missions Ministry, Brotherhood Ministry, Finance Team,  and Building and Grounds/Parking Ministry.

Arthur graduated from Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi (1978).  Following his graduation, he served in the United States Air Force.  After 5 years of service, he was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant.

Arthur worked in the Pest Control Industry for many years as a technician and salesman.  As with most things, Art was passionate about his work.  One of the highlights of his career was servicing Wrigley Field.

On February 9, 1985, Arthur married Carolyn Morris.  To this union, one daughter was born.

Arthur loved reading, cooking, gardening, and making friends.  He never met a stranger.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, his mother, a sister (Geri Quinn), and a brother (W.C. Harris).

To cherish his memory, Arthur leaves his wife Carolyn; daughter Frances of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; son Aaron Green of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter Ashlyn Isabel of Texas; sister Hope(Eugene) Sanders of Greenville, Mississippi; brothers Roy Brisco of Greenwood, Mississippi and Willie (Don) Brisco of St. Louis, Missouri; Uncle Augusta Brisco of Los Angeles, California; Aunt Dorothy Stanley of Memphis, Tennessee; Mother-in-law Frances Morris of Minter City, Mississippi and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, family and friends.
